Akut Solunum Sıkıntısı Sendromu Olan Hastalarda Omega-3 Kullanımının Hemodinamik ve Biyokimyasal Parametrelere Etkisinin Retrospektif Analizi

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı; ARDS gelişen hastalarda kullanılan omega-3’ün hemodinamik ve biyokimyasal parametrelere etkisini incelemektir. Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışmada, bir eğitim ve araştırma hastanesinin anesteziyoloji ve reanimasyon yoğun bakım ile cerrahi yoğun yakım ünitelerinde Ocak 2017-Ocak 2020 tarihleri arasında takip edilen 18 yaşından büyük, omega-3 desteği alan ARDS hastalarının kayıtları retrospektif olarak incelendi. Bulgular: Hastaların medyan GKS skoru 9,61±4,36 ve medyan APACHE II skoru 20,86±9,22 olarak bulundu. Hastaların omega-3 aldıktan sonraki lökosit değeri (9,69±4,84), almadan önceki lökosit değerine (12,62±7,01) göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı düşüktü (p=0,000). Benzer şekilde hastaların omega-3 aldıktan sonraki CRP düzeyi (33,10±48,15), almadan önceki CRP düzeyine (63,08±89,29) göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı düşüktü (p=0,001). Omega-3 aldıktan sonra hastaların prealbumin değeri (26,83±5,04), almadan önceki değere (25,40±4,12) göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı yüksekti (p=0,014). Ancak omega-3 kullanımının hastaların hemoglobin değerinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık oluşturmadığı belirlendi (p=0,542). Sonuç: ARDS gelişen hastalarda omega-3 kullanımı bazı hemodinamik ve biyokimyasal parametrelerde iyileşme ile ilişkilendirilebilir. Çalışma bulgularını desteklemek adına daha fazla araştırmaya ihtiyaç vardır.

Retrospective Analysis of The Effect of Omega-3 Use on Hemodynamic and Biochemical Parameters in Patients with Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome

Objective: The aim of this study is; To examine the effect of omega-3 used in patients with ARDS on hemodynamic and biochemical parameters. Materials and Methods: In the study, the records of ARDS patients over the age of 18 who received omega-3 support between January 2017 and January 2020 in the anesthesiology and reanimation intensive care unit of a training and research hospital were analyzed retrospectively. Results: The median GCS score of the patients was 9.61 ± 4.36 and the median APACHE II score was 20.86 ± 9.22. The leukocyte value of the patients after taking omega-3 (9.69 ± 4.84) was statistically significantly lower than the leukocyte value (12.62 ± 7.01) before taking omega-3 (p = 0.000). Similarly, the CRP level (33.10 ± 48.15) of the patients after taking omega-3 was statistically significantly lower than the CRP level before taking omega-3 (63.08 ± 89.29) (p = 0.001). The prealbumin value (26.83 ± 5.04) of the patients after taking omega-3 was statistically significantly higher than the value before taking (25.40 ± 4.12) (p = 0.014). However, it was determined that the use of omega-3 did not create a statistically significant difference in hemoglobin values of the patients (p = 0.542). Conclusion: The use of omega-3 in patients with ARDS may be associated with improvement in some hemodynamic and biochemical parameters. More research is needed to support the study findings.
