Evaluation of post-ejaculatory first micturition in healthy men

Aim: Dysuria in particular and various other problems were encountered when post-ejaculatory mictirution was provocated. This questionnaire study aims to assess the timing of post-ejaculatory micturition and its relationship with dysuria in healthy men. Material and Methods: Post-ejaculatory micturition questionnaire consisting of 10 questions was applied to 45 healthy men. Participants were classified into groups according to post-ejaculatory micturition time and the presence of dysuria. Results: Mean age of our cohort was 34.38 ± 9.12 (18-66) years and 35 of total 45 (77,8%) were married, 10 of 45 (22,2%) were single. Twenty-five (55,6%) men preferred to micturate immediately after the ejaculation and the remaining 20 (44,4%) preferred afterwards. Four (8,9%) men presented with dysuria while 41 (89,1%) did not. There was not any statistically significant difference between the two groups which contained men preferring to micturate immediately after the ejaculation or afterwards regarding the presence of dysuria (p=0.36). Conclusion: Any relationship was not observed between the presence of dysuria and post-ejaculatory first micturition time in healthy men.
