3O yıldır süregelen bir lupus vulgaris olgusu

Kutanöz tüberkülozun en sık formu olan lupus vulgaris, önceden mycobacterium tuberculosise karşı duyarlanmış bireylerde ortaya çıkar. Bazı kutanöz tüberküloz vakalarının klinik pratikte atlanması, geç tanı ve artmış morbiditeye neden olmaktadır. 51 yaşındaki erkek hasta sol preauriküler bölgede 30 yıldır süregelen plak lezyon nedeniyle başvurdu. Histopatolojik incelemede granülamatöz infiltrasyon saptandı. Mantoux reaksiyonu pozitifti. Klinik şüphe ve yapılan histopatolojik inceleme bizi tanıya götürdü.Tüberkülozun tekrar pandemiye yol açma tehdidinin olduğu günümüzde morbiditenin önlenmesi ve enfeksiyonun kontrolünde erken tanı ve tedavinin her zamankinden daha da önemli olduğu kanısındayız.

A case of lupus vulgaris of 30 years

Lupus vulgaris is the most common form of cutaneus tuberculosis occuring in previously sensitized individuals to mycobacterium tuberculosis. Some cases of cutaneus tuberculosis are frequently overlooked in clinical practice leading to late diagnosis and increased morbidity. A 51 year old male patient presented with a plaque lesion on his left preauricular region since 30 years. Histopathological examination showed granulomatous infiltration. The mantoux reaction was positive. Clinical suspicion and histopathology led to the diagnosis.We think, today when tuberculosis threatens to burst into pandemics again,early diagnosis and treatment of the infection are more important than ever to control and preventation of morbidity.
