Gelişme, ilerleme, gerileme, terakki, tekâmül, teceddüt, yenilenme, modern-leşme, yükselme ve çöküş gibi kavramlarla birlikte okunan bir muhtevaya sahip olan değişim, doğrudan insanla alakalı bir kavram olup, hem olumlu (müspet) hem de olumsuz (menfi) özellikleri bünyesinde barındırmaktadır. Fertlerle başlayan değişimin, şartlarının oluşumu da insan iradesine bağlı kı-lınmıştır. Sosyal münasebetler ve içtimaî müesseseler ağından oluşan toplumun bu şekilde teşekkülünde fert etkin bir rol üstlenmektedir. Toplumların esas değişim ve dönüşümünün fertlerle gerçekleştiği gerçeği peygamberlik müessesesinin varlık ga-yesini de izah etmektedir. Önce fertlerin, daha sonra da toplumların ilahî yasalar va-sıtasıyla değişim ve dönüşümünü esas alan Risâlet vazifesi, peygamberler yoluyla gerçekleşen müspet toplumsal değişim seyrinin ve stratejisinin nasıl olması gerektiğini de göstermektedir. Nebevî ilkeler, asr-ı saadet döneminde cemiyetin medenî bir hüviyet kazanma-sında önemli bir rol oynamış ve câhiliyeden medeniyete doğru bir tekâmül ve dönü-şümü gerçekleştirmiştir. Günümüz İslam dünyasında değişim adıyla yaşanan durum ve şartların topluma yansımalarının neler olduğunu tespit etmek ve nebevi ilkeler ışığında bunları değerlendirmek gelecek adına önemli bir husustur.

The concept of change which has a broad meaning such as development, progress, regression, improvement, maturation, renewal, regeneration, modernization, rising and falling down is directly related to human beings and has both positive and nega-tive features. Change begins with individuals and creation of circumstances depends on human willpower. In the formation of social relationship and social organizations, individual plays a great role. The fact that the change and transformation of societies is based on individual indicates the existence of the institution of prophethood. The mission of prophethood which requires firstly the change and transformation of individual and later societies through divine laws also shows that how the strategy and the process of these positive social changes should be? The guidelines of the prophethood played an important role in the process of the modernization of society in the first period of Islam and fulfilled the role of matura-tion and transformation from Jahiliyya (the age of ignorance) to the real civilization. The main purpose of this article is to examine the conditions and situations found in the Muslim world today in the name of change and to evaluate for a better future all these kinds of changes in light of prophethood guidelines.
