The analysis of cicero’s narration of regnal period in de re publica

Cicero’s concept of ideal state in De Re Publica was experienced as a historical fact up to his own period, as opposed to Plato’s concept of fictive ideal state. Cicero tries to analyse the origin of the state’s regnal history in the second book. This paper analyses his narration of origin in a historical, religious, and philosophical context.
