Türk fikir hayatının önemli simalarından Nurettin Topçu (1909-1975) öğretmenliği, dergiciliği ve fikir adamlığı çerçevesinde çokça değerlendirilmiş ve türlü yazılara konu olmuştur. Kendisi, aynı zamanda, Cumhuriyet döneminde Avrupaya tahsile gönderilen ve Fransada ilk felsefe doktorası alan (1934) Türktür. Yurda döndükten sonra bazı sebeplerle üniversiteye dahil ol(a)mayan Topçunun doktoradan sonra doçentlik unvanını alıp almadığı muğlak kalmıştır. Bu makalede ortaya çıkarılan belgelerle bu muğlaklık izale edilmiştir.

One of the important figures of the Turkish intellectual arena, Nurettin Topçu (1909-1975), has been much appraised within the frame at his teacnership, magazine publishing and intellectuality. He was sent to Europe to study. He is the first Turkish person in the history of Turkish Republic to get a doctorate degree in France. After his return, he wasn’t (able to be) involued in the university for some reasons and it is dascure whether he got a docent title or not. In this article, the obscurity is dissolved with the documents revealed.
