Bir Yahudi mistik grubu: Therapeutae

Hemen hemen tüm dinlerin mistik bir boyutu vardır. Therapeutae, Essenilerden farklı mistik Yahudi gruplardan biridir. İskenderiyeli Philonun De Vita Contemplativa (On the Contemplative Life/ Tefekkür Hayatı) başlıklı eseri, bu mistiklerle ilgili bilgi veren en erken ve temel kaynaktır.

A Jewish mystic group: Therapeutae

Almost every religion has a mystical dimension. The Therapeutae are one of the mystical Jewish groups which are different than Essenes. One of the works of Philo of Alexandria which is entitled De Vita Contemplativa (On the Contemplative Life) is the earliest and primary source about this mystics. In this article, after giving information which is based on the Philo’s account about the Therapeutae, we will evaluate this mystic group. Afterwards we will deal with the thesis of Eusebius who asserts this group as an origin of church in Egypt
