Bu araştırmada XIII. yüzyılın ileri gelen bilginlerinden 'Alemuddin Kaysar'ın hayat hikayesi özetlendikten ve eserleri kısaca tanıtıldıktan sonra, Pitagoras teoremi ile de ilgili, bir geometri teoremini ele alan küçük bir yazmasının metni ile Türkçe tercümesi verilmiş ve Eukleides geometrisinin temel özellikleri çerçevesinde değerlendirilmiştir.

In the ancient geometry embodied in Euclid's Elements, the basic idea was "to draw/to bring into being a figure that has certain properties (theorem, proposition)" by using definitions, postulates and general concepts (axioms). In this study we shortly introduce the life and works of one of the major XII. century scientists 'Alemuddin Kaysar. Then we present a treatise of him concerning the Pythagoras theorem with its Turkish translation and evaluate it in the above mentioned framework of Euclidean geometry.
