Buzağı, kuzu ve oğlaklarda karşılaşılan doğmasal anomaliler: 1996-2005 (262 olgu)

Bu raporda, Kafkas Üniversitesi Veteriner Fakültesi Cerrahi Kliniğine 1996-2005 yılları arasında getirilen buzağı, kuzu ve oğlaklarda saptanan doğmasal anomali olguları değerlendirildi. Bunun için, belirtilen tarihlerde kliniğe getirilen 1314 buzağı, 107 kuzu ve 6 oğlak olmak üzere toplam 1427 yenidoğan hayvandan 262'sinde karşılaşılan doğmasal anomaliler belirlenerek; bunların tür, ırk, cinsiyet ve lokalizasyonuna göre dağılımları incelendi. Bu süreçte getirilen buzağıların 218 (%16.5)'i, kuzuların 39 (%36)'u ve oğlakların 5 (%83)'inde olmak üzere toplam 262 olguda çeşitli doğmasal anomaliler saptandı. Buzağılardaki anomalilerin 103'ü (%47.2) karın duvarı ve gastrointestinal oluşumlarda, 58'i (%26.6) kas-iskelet sisteminde, 32'si (%14.6) kafa bölgesi oluşumlarında, 9'u (%4.1) ürogenital sistemde lokalize iken 16'sı (%7.3) çeşitli sistemleri içeren çoklu anomaliler şeklindeydi. Anomalilerin kuzulardaki dağılımının, karın duvarı ve gastrointestinal oluşumlarda 24 (%61.5), kafa bölgesi oluşumlarında 6 (% 15.3), ürogenital sistemde 1 (%2.5) ve çoklu anomaliler 8 (%20.5) olduğu gözlenirken, oğlaklarda ürogenital sistemde 4 (%80) ve gastrointestinal sistemde 1 (%20) anomali şekillendiği belirlendi. Anomalili olguların 177'si (%67.5) erkek, 82'si (%31.2) dişi ve 3'ü (%1.1) hermafroditti. Sonuç olarak, 10 yıllık bir zaman aralığı dikkate alındığında değerlendirmeye aldığımız buzağı, kuzu ve oğlaklardaki anomali oranlarının dikkat çekici boyutta olduğu saptanmış ve nedenleri konusunda çok yönlü çalışmaların yapılmasının gerekli olduğu kanısına varılmıştır.

Congenital anomalies encountered in calves, lambs and kids 1996-2005 (262 cases)

In the present report, congenital abnormalities submitted to the Department of Surgery, Veterinary Faculty, University of Kafkas in the years 1996-2005 were evaluated. A total of 1427 new born animal (1314 calves, 107 lambs and 6 kids) were examined for the congenital anomalies. Breed, sex and localisation of the anomalies were recorded. Congenital anomalies were seen in a total of 262 animals of which 218 were calves (16.5%), 39 lambs (36%) and 5 kids (83%). The location of anomalies of the calves were as follows; abdominal and gastrointestinal system (103; 47.2%), musculo-skeletal system (58; 26.6%), head (32; 14.6%), ürogenital system (9; 4.1%) and multiple anomalies involving various systems (16; 7.3%). The distribution of anomalies of the lambs were as follows; abdominal and gastrointestinal system (24; 61.5%), head (6; 15.3%), ürogenital system (1; 2.5%) and multiple anomalies involving various systems (8; 20.5%). The distribution of anomalies of the kids were as follows; abdominal and gastrointestinal region (1; 20%) and ürogenital system (4; 80%). The sex of the animals with congenital anomalies were 177 male (67.5%), 82 (31.2%) female; and 3(1.1%) hermaphrodite. In conclusion, when consider the long time span (10 year) and high level of anomalies seen in the calves, lambs and kids it is inevitable to do further more detailed multidisciplinary studies in order to reveal real underlying reasons for such abnormalities.
