Histological structure of the Bursa of fabricius
Bursa of Fabricius was first described by Hieronymus Fabricius who was scientist in 1621. The lymphoid structure of this organ was revealed three centuries after it was described. The bursa of Fabricius plays an important role as a immun system organ in birds. The bursa of Fabricius which dorsal diverticulum of the cloaca , sac-like and have many mucuosal folds is a lypmhoepithelial organ which is peculiar to birds.
