Endometrial biopsi ile kısraklarda kronik dejeneratif endometritis'in teşhis ve kontrolü

Bu çalışmada kısrakların infertilitelerinin belirlenmesinde endometrial biopsi kullanımını araştırmayı amaçladık. Çalışma Ocak 1998 - Mayıs 1998 arasında yapıldı. İnfertil kısraklar iki seneden fazla gebe kalmadığı söylenen 7-18 yaş arasında 36 adet ingiliz ve arap kısraktan oluşmakta idi. Çalışmanın öncesinde rektal palpasyonla uterusun kıvamı, şekli ve büyüklüğü değerlendirildi ve B mode lineer-array ultrasonografi ile kontrol edildiler. Bundan sonra her kısraktan endometrial biopsi ve antibiogram için endometrial swaplar alındı. Biopsiler Kenny ve Doig'in klasifikasyonuna bağlı olarak kategorize edildi. Bütün kısraklar kategori IIA ile kategori III arasında idi. Otuz altı kısraktan sekizi kategori HA (%22.2), on kısrak kategori IIB (%27.8) ve onsekiz kısrak kategori III (%50) biopsiye sahipti. Bütün kısraklara tek doz intra-uterin 50 mi. Keresine ve takiben (antibiyogram sonuçlarına uygun) antibiyotik 100ml %0.9'lukNaCl ile karıştırılarak gün aşırı intra-uterin olarak beş kez verildi. İlk östrusda kısraklara aşım yaptırıldı ve ovulasyonu takiben 12-15. günlerde trans-rektal ultrasonografi ile gebelikleri tesbit edildi. Kategori IIA gurubundaki sekiz kısrağın üçünden gebelik elde edildi (%37.5). Diğer gurupların hiçbirinden ilk siklus da gebelik elde edilemedi.

Diagnosis and handling of chronic degenerative endometritis in mares with endometrial biopsy

In this study we aimed to assess the use of endometrial biopsies for estimating fertility in the mare. The experiment was conducted between January and may of 1998. Infertil mares were 7 to 18 years old 36 Thorughbreds and Arabs with a history of reproductive failure over two consecutive years. Prior to the experiment; the size, shape and consistency of the uterus is evaluated by palpation per rectum and scaned with B-mode linear-array ultrasonography. After that, endometrialbiopsies and endometrial swaps for antibiogram tests were taken from each mare. Biopsies were categorized according to Kenney and Doig classification.AH mares had category IIA to III endometrial biopsies. 8 mares had category IIA biopsies (22.2%), 10 mares had category IIB biopsies (27.8%) and 18 mares had category III biopsies (50%) out of thirthy six mares All mares had a single intrauterine infusion of 50 ml. Kerosine and after that antibiotic (according to antibiotic test result) mixed with 100 ml of 0.9% NaCl into the uterus on two days intervals for five times. In the first estrus; mares were inseminated and at 12-15 days post ovulation pregnancies were determined by transrectal ultrasonography and we obtained pregnacies in three of eight mares in category IIA group. We could not obtained any pregnancies from the others .
