Seyyahların Gözüyle 15. ve 16. Yüzyıl’da Gürcistan ve Çevresi

Bu çalışmanın amacı, 15. ve 16. Yüzyıl’da Gürcistan’ı ziyaret eden bazı seyyahların eserlerindeGürcistan ve çevresiyle ilgili gözlemlerini değerlendirmektir. Araştırmada seyahatname veraporlarına yer verilen seyyahlar; Pietro Caterino Zeno, Ruy Gonzalez de Clavijo, AmbrogioContarini, Giosafat (Josaphat) Barbaro, Vincentio d'Alessandri, Michele Membré ve LeonhardRauwolf’dur. Bu seyyahların çoğunluğu Venedikli olup, kaleme aldıkları gözlemlerinde Gürcistan’lailgili farklı tespitlerde bulunmuşlardır. Seyahatnamelerde, Gürcülerin dini, kadınları, savaşçılıkları,dış görünüşleri ve giyim temaları ön plana çıkmaktadır.

Georgia and its Environments in The Eyes of Travellers During the 15th and 16th Centuries

The purpose of this study is to evaluate obervations of travellers visited Georgia and its environment during the 15th and 16th centuries. The names of travellers whose observations are examined in this research are Pietro Caterino Zeno, Ruy Gonzalez De Clavijo, Ambrogio Contarini, Giosafat (Josaphat) Barbaro, Vincentio d'alsandri, Michele Membré and Leonhard Rauwolf. The majority of these travellers are venetian and they made different observations in their works. The religious, women, combatants, appearance and clothing themes of Georgians are prominent in the documents of travellers,.
