Edremit Körfezi, Biga yarımadasının güneyinde konumlanmış önemli turizm merkezlerini veKazdağlarını (İda) içer en bir körfezdir. Körfez, coğrafik olarak Ege Bölgesinin kuzeyini oluşturmaklaberaber, Çanakkale ve Balıkesir illerinin kıyılarındadır. Bu çalışmada Balıkesirin Edremit, Havran,Burhaniye ilçelerine bağlı 21 köy gezilmiş ve arı yetiştiriciliği yapan 80 kişi ile görüşülmüştür. Arıyetiştiricilerinin kovanlarını bıraktıkları yerlerde arıların bal yapmak için en fazla konduğu bitkiler hem arı yetiştiricilerine sorulmuş hem de arazide flora çalışması yapılarak tespit edilmiştir. Sonuçolarak arıların en fazla konduğu 34 bitki taksonu belirlenerek bal arılarının en fazla ziyaret ettiğibitkilerin Asteraceae, Boraginaceae, Fabaceae , Lamiaceae ve Cistaceae familyalarına bağlı taksonlarolduğu görülmüştür. Bu familyalardan ise bal arılarının en çok, Echium plan tagineum , Helianthusannuus, Origanum spp., Paliurus spina -christi, Vitex agnus-castus, Cistus spp., Trifolium spp. veCercis siliquastrum türlerine konduğu gözlemlenmiştir.

Gulf of Edremit is an important gulf contained tourism centers and Kaz Mountains (İda) whichlocated in the south of the Biga Peninsula. The Gulf, as the geographically north of are in the Aegea nregion, is located in the shores of theÇanakkale and Balikesir provinces . In this study; depending onthe province of Balikesir Edremit, Havran, Burhaniye depending on districts visited 21 villages and 80people who beekeeper were interviewed. The plants that the bees mostly go to the places where thebee keepers leave their hives for them to make honey are both asked to the bee keepers and alsodetected by making flora research in the area. As a result, It is seen that 34 plant taxa which the beesare put mostly have been detected and the honey bees visit mostly the taxa belonging to the families ofAsteraceae, Boraginaceae , Fabaceae, Lamiaceae and Cistaceae.It is also realized that among thesefamilies ,honey bees go mostly to the species of Echium pla ntagineum , Helianthus annuus, Origanumspp., Paliurus spina -christi, Vitex agnus- castus, Cistus spp., Trifolium spp andCercis siliquastrum.
