THE EFFECTS OF ENTERPRISE RESOURCE PLANNING PROJECT’S ULTIMATE SUCCESS FACTORS ON FIRM’S PERFORMANCE

Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems are multidimensional and multi-user web-based information systems that enable to manage almost all function areas of an organization co-ordinately. Besides the contributions of ERP to the firm in terms of flexibility and agility, being expensive investment and generally making multiple changes within the firm causes many side effects. It is known that the investment of ERP wouldn’t achieve desired success and occasionally causes adverse outcomes. In this study, effects of the success of the ERP project on the firm performance are analysed using the data collected from manufacturing firms in Turkey. The findings based on analyses demonstrate that the ultimate success factors of ERP projects have a positive and significant effect on the nonfinancial performance, whereas it has no significant effect on the financial performance of the firm
