Unresponsiveness to delayed thrombolytic therapy in infants with renal vein thrombosis

Renal ven trombozu primer olarak yenidoğan ve süt çocukluğu döneminin bir hastalığı olup böbrek yetmezliğine hatta ölüme yol açabilmektedir ve tedavisi tartışmalıdır. Renal ven trombozu tanısı alan iki yenidoğan ve bir süt çocuğu olgusu tartışılmıştır. Hastalar hastanemize renal ven trombozu tanısı aldıktan sonra 10, 15 gün ve 2 ay sonra sevk edilmişlerdir. Hastalara doku plazminojen aktivatörü, ürokinaz, heparin gibi değişik tedaviler uygulandı. Tedavi uygulamalarına karşın hastaların üçü de değişik nedenlerde öldü. Trombolitik tedavideki zorluklar ve gecikmiş tanı ve tedavi uygulamaları bu üç vaka nedeniyle tartışıldı.

Renal ven trombozu olan çocuklarda tedavide gecikme ve yanıtsızlık

Renal vein thrombosis is a disease primarily of newborn and young, infants and it may lead to significant renal impairment, even death, yet therapy remains controversial. Two newborn and one infant boy, diagnosed as having renal venous thrombosis are discussed. Patients were referred to our hospital 10,15 days and 2 months after their symptoms began, respectively. Different treatment modalities such as tissue plasminogen activator, urokinase and heparin were applied. Despite the treatment the three of them died different causes. The difficulties of thrombolytic therapy in infancy especially in patients with late diagnosis are underlined.
