Farklı Irklardaki Koyun ve Keçilerde Serum B12 Vitamini ve Kobalt Düzeylerinin Araştırılması *
Çalışmada, farklı ırklardan her iki cinsten koyun ve keçilerde serum B12 vitamini ve kobalt düzeylerininaraştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında Elazığ ilinde benzer bakım ve beslenme şartlarınasahip olan Akkaraman, Morkaraman ve İvesi koyun ırkları ile Halep ve Kıl keçisi olmak üzere 5 ırkçalışmaya alınmıştır. Her ırktan 40 baş hayvan olacak şekilde toplam 200 baş hayvan çalışmadakullanılmıştır. Her gruptaki hayvanların yarısının dişi yarısının erkek, bunların da yarısının 1 yaşın altındadiğer yarısının ise 1 yaşın üzerinde olacak şekilde gruplar oluşturulmuştur. Serum B12 vitamin düzeyi ticaritest kitleri yardımıyla otoanalizörde, kobalt düzeyleri ise atomik absorbsiyon spektrometresi ilebelirlenmiştir. Çalışmaya alınan tüm koyun ve keçi ırklarında serum kobalt düzeyleri sırasıyla koyunlarda6.47±3.21, 5.68±2.50 ve 7.75±1.67 ppb ve keçilerde 5.10±1.89 ve 4.84±2.00 ppb olarak belirlenmiş olupgruplar arası farkın önemli olduğu görülmüştür (P
Investigation of Serum Vitamin B12 and Cobalt Levels in Different Sheep and Goats Breeds
The study aimed to investigate serum B12 and cobalt levels in male and female sheep and goats of different races. Within the scope of the study, 5 breeds including Akkaraman, Morkaraman and Awassi sheep breeds and Halep and Hair goats, which have similar care and feeding conditions in Elazig province, were included in the study. A total of 200 animals were used in the study, 40 animals of each breed. Groups of half of the animals in each group were female, half of them were male and half of them were under 1 year old and half of them were over 1 year old. Serum B12 vitamin level was determined using an autoanalyzer with the commercial test kits, and cobalt levels were determined by atomic absorption spectrometry. Serum cobalt levels were determined as 6.47±3.21, 5.68±2.50 and 7.75±1.67 ppb in sheep and 5.10±1.89 and 4.84±2.00 ppb in sheep, respectively in all sheep (Awassi, Akkaraman and Morkaraman) and goat (Hair and Halep goat) races.
