Ergenlik dönemi insan hayatındaki en önemli evrelerden biridir. Bu dönemde ergen, duygusal yönden birçok çelişki yaşadığından kaygılanmakta ve olumsuz davranışlar sergileyebilmektedir. Bu davranışların nedenleri arasında ailelerin olumsuz tutumu, okul başarısızlığı, kendine olan güvensizlik, arkadaş çevresi, eğitsel ve kültürel eksiklikler sayılabilir. Ergenlik dönemindeki gençleri, enerjilerini olumlu şekilde kullanmaları ve kendilerini doğru ifade edebilmeleri için sanat eğitiminin önemli bir kolu olan müzik eğitimine yönlendirmenin yararlı olacağı düşünülmektedir. Bu çalışmada amaç, ergenlik döneminde yaşanan sorunların çözümünde müzik eğitiminin yararlarını vurgulamaktır. Bu bağlamda çalışmada, müzik eğitiminin ergenlik çağındaki gençler üzerindeki önemine değinilmiş ve gençlerin bu dönemde yaşadığı sorunların çözümüne olan etkisi irdelenmiştir. Konuyla ilgili daha önce yapılan çalışmalar araştırılmış, bu araştırmalar ışığında bazı sonuçlara ulaşılmış ve öneriler geliştirilmiştir.

Adolescence is the most important period of human life. In this period, the adolescents can feel themselves anxious and show negative behaviours because of the contradictions in their emotional life. The negative attitudes of parents, school failure, the lack of self-confidence, friend atmosphere and educational and cultural deficiencies can be the reasons of these negative behaviours. It's thought that canalizing adolescents to music education which is the most important part of art will be useful for using their energies positively and have their self-expression in the right way. The aim of this study is to emphasize the benefits of music education about solving the adolescence problems. In this respect, the importance of music education on adolescents was mentioned and the effects on solving the adolescent problems were examined. Previous studies about this subject have been searched, in the view of these studies, some conclusions have been found and some suggestions have been improved in this study.
