The relationship between economic growth and the knowledge economy, is one of the major issues discussed in the literature, a lot of theoretical and practical studies have been conducted in this area. The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between the parameters of the infrastructure of the information society with economic growth in Turkey empirically. This relationship has been tested with panel data analysis technique. The first analysis carried out with the data for 22 countries in the group of the Europe and Central Asia including Turkey according to the classification of the KAM Methodology for the period 2000-2007. The second analysis was made using data for 12 countries in the group of the upper-middle-income group including Turkey according to the classification of the KAM Methodology for the period 2000-2008. The results of the analysis show that the parameters of the information society dos not have a positive effect on GDP per capita.
