BEŞERİ SERMAYE İLE MAKRO EKONOMİK VE TEKNOLOJİK UNSURLARIN ULUSLARARASI REKABET GÜCÜNE ETKİSİ

Beşeri sermaye ile makro ve teknolojik değişkenlerin yüksek teknolojili ürün ihracatına dayalı uluslararası rekabet gücüne etkisini panel veri analizi yöntemleriyle (panel birim kök ve panel eşbütünleşme) analiz etmeyi amaçlayan çalışmamızda Türkiye dahil G20 üyesi toplam 14 ülke 1992-2014 dönemi itibariyle incelenmiştir. Uygulama neticesinde elde edilen bulgular, beşeri sermaye değişkenlerinden insani gelişme endeksi ile doğuştan yaşam süresinin yüksek teknolojili ürün ihracatına dayalı uluslararası rekabet gücünü genel olarak pozitif bir şekilde etkilediğini göstermiştir. Bu sonuç yüksek teknolojili ürün ihracatında rekabet gücü elde etmek isteyen ülkelerin beşeri sermaye yatırımlarına önem vermesi gerektiğini bir kez daha gözler önüne sermiştir.

THE EFFECTS OF HUMAN CAPITAL AND MACRO ECONOMIC AND TECHNOLOGICAL COMPONENTS ON INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIVENESS

In our study aiming to analyze the impact of human capital and macro and technological variables on international competitiveness based on high technology product export, a total of 14 members of the G20 countries including Turkey, have been examined over the period of 1992-2014, with panel data analysis methods (panel unit root and panel cointegration). The findings of the study showed that human capital variables such as human development index and life expectancy at birth affects international competitiveness based on high technology product exports positively. This result once again demonstrates that countries which seek to gain competitive power in high-technology product exports should give importance to human capital investments.
