SAĞLIK YÖNETĠCĠLERĠNĠN GĠRĠġĠMCĠ KĠġĠLĠK ÖZELLĠKLERĠNĠN HASTANELERĠN KURUMSAL PERFORMANSI ÜZERĠNDEKĠ ETKĠSĠ

Bu araĢtırmanın temel amacı, hastane yöneticilerinin giriĢimci kiĢilik özelliklerinin, hastanelerin kurumsal performansı üzerindeki etkisini tespit etmektir. AraĢtırmanın evrenini Ġstanbul ilinde faaliyet gösteren özel hastanelerin sahipleri, üst kademe yöneticileri ve orta kademe yöneticileri oluĢturmuĢtur. AraĢtırmada nicel araĢtırma yönteminin kullanılmıĢtır. Veriler yüz yüze anket tekniği ile 430 kiĢiden toplanmıĢtır. AraĢtırmada kolayda örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıĢtır. Verilerin analizinde SPSS ve AMOS paket programları kullanılmıĢtır. AraĢtırma verilerine betimleyici istatistikler, keĢfedici faktör analizi, doğrulayıcı faktör analizi ve yol analizi teknikleri kullanılmıĢtır. Açıklayıcı ve doğrulayıcı faktör analizleri ile elde edilen bulgular, modelin geçerliliğinin sağlandığını göstermiĢtir. Açıklayıcı faktör analizi ile ortaya konulan yapı geçerliliği, doğrulayıcı faktör analizi ile sağlanmıĢtır. Geçerlilik ve güvenilirliğin sağlanması, yöneticilerin giriĢimci kiĢilik özelliklerinin, hastanelerin kurumsal performansına etkisindeki yapısal iliĢkinin varlığını göstermektedir. Doğrulayıcı faktör analizi ve yol analizi sonuçlarına göre yöneticilerin giriĢimci kiĢilik özelliklerinin, hastanelerin kurumsal performansı üzerinde istatistiksel olarak ve anlamlı yönde bir etkisinin olduğu bulunmuĢtur. Bu araĢtırmanın sağlık sektöründe yeni giriĢimcilerin artmasına ve giriĢimcilik faaliyetlerinin teĢvik edilmesine zemin oluĢturması bakımından literatüre ve uygulamaya katkı sağlayacağı öngörülmektedir.

THE IMPACT OF ENTREPRENEURIAL PERSONALITY CHARACTERISTICS OF HEALTH MANAGERS ON CORPORATE PERFORMANCE OF HOSPITALS

The main purpose of this research is to determine the effect of the entrepreneurial personality characteristics of hospital managers on the corporate performance of hospitals. The universe of the research consisted of the owners, senior managers and middle-level managers of private hospitals operating in the province of Istanbul. In the study, in which the quantitative research method was used, the data were collected from 430 people by face to-face survey technique. Convenience sampling method was used in the research. SPSS and AMOS package programs were used in the analysis of the data. Descriptive statistics, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and path analysis techniques were used in the research data. Findings obtained with explanatory and confirmatory factor analyzes showed that the validity of the model was ensured. The construct validity revealed by exploratory factor analysis was also confirmed by confirmatory factor analysis. Ensuring validity and reliability shows the existence of the structural relationship in the effect of the entrepreneurial personality characteristics of the managers on the corporate performance of the hospitals. According to the results of confirmatory factor analysis and path analysis, it was determined that the entrepreneurial personality characteristics of the managers had a statistically and significant effect on the corporate performance of the hospitals. It is anticipated that this research will contribute to the literature and practice in terms of creating a basis for the increase of new entrepreneurs in the health sector and encouraging entrepreneurial activities.
