OKUL ÖNCESĠ DÖNEMDE ÇOCUĞU OLAN EBEVEYNLERĠN ÇOCUK ĠHMAL VE ĠSTĠSMARINA YÖNELĠK FARKINDALIKLARININ VE ĠSTĠSMARIN ETKĠLERĠNE YÖNELĠK BĠLGĠLERĠNĠN ĠNCELENMESĠ

ÇalıĢmada, okul öncesi dönemde çocuğu olan ebeveynlerin çocuk ihmal ve istismarına yönelik farkındalıklarının ve istismarın etkilerine yönelik bilgi düzeylerinin sosyo-demografik değiĢkenler açısından incelenmesi amaçlanmıĢtır. ÇalıĢma nicel araĢtırma yöntemlerinden genel tarama modeli ile tasarlanmıĢtır. ÇalıĢmanın örneklemi amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden kartopu örnekleme ile belirlenmiĢ ve 502 ebeveyn çalıĢmaya dahil edilmiĢtir. Veri toplama aracı olarak kiĢisel bilgi formu, Ebeveynlerin Çocuk Ġhmali ve Ġstismarı Farkındalık Ölçeği ve Ebeveyn Ġstismar Ölçeği kullanılmıĢtır. Verilerin analizinde ikili gruplar için bağımsız t Testi, ikiden fazla gruplarda ise tek yönlü varyans analizi kullanılmıĢtır. ÇalıĢmanın sonucunda ebeveynlerin sosyo-demografik değiĢkenlerinin çocuk ihmal ve istismarına yönelik bilgi ve farkındalıkları üzerinde etkili olduğu görülmüĢtür.

EXAMINING THE AWARENESS OF PARENTS WITH PRESCHOOL CHILDREN ON CHILD NEGLECT AND ABUSE AND THEIR KNOWLEDGE ON THE EFFECTS OF ABUSE

In the study, it was aimed to examine the awareness and knowledge levels of parents who have children in the preschool period in terms of socio-demographic characteristics. The study was designed with the general survey model, which is one of the quantitative research methods. The sample of the study was determined by snowball sampling, one of the purposeful sampling methods, and 502 parents were included in the study. Personal information form, Child Neglect and Abuse Awareness Scale of Parents, Parent Abuse Scale and Interview Form were used as data collection tools. In the analysis of the data, independent t-test was used for paired groups and one-way analysis of variance was used in groups of more than two. As a result of the study, it was seen that the socio-demographic characteristics of the parents were effective on their knowledge and awareness of child neglect and abuse.
