ÖzetBu çalışmada; Azerbaycan 'da günümüzde okutulmakla olan tarih derskitaplarının Osmanlı devletine bakış açısı aktarılmaya çalışıldı.Azerbaycan'daki tarih yazımı-eğitimi-ders kitaplarının gelişimi aktarıldı.Günümüz ders kitaplarının incelenmesinde; Osmanlı devletine karşı iki farklıbakış açısı olduğu görüldü. Birinci yaklaşımın olumsuz olduğu ve Osmanlıyıişgalci, köleye çeviren, ağır vergilerle ezen, cahil bvakan olarak gösterdiğitespit edildi. İkinci yaklaşımın ise olumlu olduğu ve Osmanlının komşu, kardeş,aynı ata-ancmın evlatları, kan kardeşleri olarak tanıtıldığı görüldü. The development of the historywriting- education-coursebooks in Azerbaijan was given. In the investigation oftodays coursebooks, two different views were found out determined. It was seenthat the first view is negative and shows the Ottoman Empire as invaders, slavemaking,tyrannizing with heavy taxes, leaving people ignorant, etc. As for thesecond view, it was determined to show the Ottoman Empie as neighbour,brother, descendants of the same ascendants as theirs, blood covenants, etc.And it was suggested that this case might throw students into confusion.Key Words: Azerbaijan, history education, history in Azerbaijan,Azerbaijan history coursebook, the Ottoman Empire, image.
