Öz: Araştırmanın amacı, alternatif bir gitar eğitimi modeli olarak ünlü gitar yorumcusuve bestecisi Bekir Küçükay tarafından geliştirilen yedinci pozisyona dayalı gitareğitimi yönteminin okul çalgıları gitar eğitimi dersinde kullanılabilirlik düzeylerini belirlemektir.Çalışma grubunu, 2014-2015 öğretim yılında Atatürk Üniversitesi Kazım KarabekirEğitim Fakültesi Müzik Eğitimi Anabilim Dalında okul çalgıları (gitar) eğitimidersi alan toplam 40 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada karışık desenlerin özel bir türüolan kontrol gruplu ön test-son test deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Deneysel desen öncesiyapılan denklik testi sonuçlarına göre deney grubu (n: 20), kontrol grubu ise (n: 20)olarak belirlenmiştir. Araştırmanın uygulama aşaması yaklaşık olarak 4 haftalık süreçiçerisinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Deneysel işlem sonucunda elde edilen veriler SPSS 20 istatistikprogramı ile analiz edilmiştir. Kontrol ve deney grubu öğrencilerinin ön test veson test sonuçları arasında anlamlı bir fark olup olmadığını belirlemek amacıyla parametrikolmayan testlerden Mann Whitney U testi kullanılmıştır. Bekir Küçükay ve araştırmacıtarafından geliştirilen yedinci pozisyona dayalı çalışmalar, öğretim sistemi içerisindekullanılarak öğrencilerin gitar çalma becerileri üzerindeki etkisine cevap aranmıştır.Araştırma sonuçları, deney grubu öğrencilerinin kontrol grubu öğrencilerine göre dahabaşarılı olduklarını göstermiştir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Gitar eğitimi, yedinci pozisyon, okul çalgıları Availabilty of Seventh-Position-Based Alternative Guitar TeachingModel in School Musical Instrument (Guitar) Education Abstract: This research aimed to determine availability levels of seventh-positionbasedguitar education method, developed by renowned guitarist and composer BekirKüçükay, in school musical instruments guitar education lesson as an alternative guitareducation model. The study group covered 40 students taking school musical instruments(guitar) education lessons at Ataturk University, Kazım Karabekir Faculty of EducationDepartment of Music Education during the academic year of 2014-2015. In the study,an experimental research design with pre-test/post-test and control group, a special type of random assignment, was used. In accordance with the results of the equivalence test,conducted before the experimental design, the experimental group was established as(n: 20) and the control group was established as (n: 20). Implementation phase of theresearch was realized within a period of approximately 4 weeks. Data, obtained from theexperimental process, were analyzed with SPSS 20 statistic program. Non-parametrictest of Mann-Whitney U Test was used in order to determine whether a significant differencewas present between pre-test and post-test results of control and experimentalgroups. We investigated the effect of seventh-position-based studies, developed by BekirKüçükay and the researcher, on students’ guitar rendering skills by implementing them inthe teaching system.
