Öz: Bu araştırmanın amacı, iyi bir eğitim ortamını sağlayan yedi ilkenin işbirlikliöğrenme yöntemi ile kullanılmasının 7. sınıf öğrencilerinin fen ve teknoloji dersindeakademik başarılarına etkisini belirlemek ve yedi ilkenin ortaokulda uygulanabilirliğiniaraştırmaktır. Araştırmada yarı deneysel yöntem kullanılmış, iki deney grubu ve bir kontrolgrubu belirlenmiştir. Birinci deney grubu, işbirlikli öğrenmenin iyi bir eğitim ortamıiçin yedi ilke ile birlikte kullanıldığı İşbirlikli Yedi İlke Grubu (İYG, N=16), ikinci deneygrubu ise işbirlikli öğrenmenin kullanıldığı İşbirlikli Gruptur (İG, N=22). İG’de üniteişbirlikli öğrenme yöntemine göre işlenmiştir. İYG’de yedi ilke ölçeğinin her maddesiişbirlikli öğrenme yöntemine göre işlenen ünite sürecine entegre edilmiştir. Kontrol grubuna(KG, N=20) ise müdahale edilmemiş, Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı’nın hâlihazırdaki fenve teknoloji programına göre öğretim gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmalar başlamadan önce,gruplardaki öğrencilerin ön bilgilerini belirlemek için ön bilgi testi, yedi ilkenin derslerindeuygulanmasına yönelik görüşlerini belirlemek için yedi ilke ölçeği uygulanmıştır.Çalışmalar bittikten sonra öğrencilerin akademik başarılarındaki değişimi belirlemekiçin akademik başarı testi, yedi ilkenin uygulanmasına yönelik görüşlerindeki değişimibelirlemek için ise tekrar yedi ilke ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Çalışma sonunda elde edilen bulgularyedi ilkenin ortaokulda uygulanabilirliğini ve yedi ilkenin ortaokul öğrencilerininakademik başarısını artırdığını göstermiştir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Yedi ilke, işbirlikli öğrenme, ortaokul, fen ve teknoloji dersi Abstract: The aim of this study is to determine effect of using the seven principlesfor good practice with cooperative learning method to achievements of middle schoolstudents and to research the applicability of the seven principles in primary education. İtwas determined two experiment groups and one countenance group. The first experimentgroup is Cooperative Seven Principles Group (CSPG, N=16) which seven principles forgood practice were used with cooperative learning method and the second experimentgroup is Cooperative Learning Group (CLG, N=22) which cooperative learning methodwere used. The unit was taught using cooperative learning method in CLG. Each itemof the seven principles scale was integrated into the unit processed which taught usingcooperative learning method in CSPG. The Control Group (CG, N=20) was not intervened,the unit was taught according to the current science education program of Ministryof Education. Before the study, the prior knowledge test was applied to the groups fordetermine the students' prior knowledge. And the seven principles scale was applied fordetermining students’ views related to seven principles applications. After the study, theacademic achievement test was applied for determine the change in students' academicachievement, the seven principles scale was applied again for determine the change viewsof the implementation of the seven principles. At the end of the study, the findings wereindicate that the seven principles applicable in middle school and the seven principlesincrease the middle school students' academic achievement.Keywords: Seven principles, cooperative learning, middle school, science course
