Şiddetli öksürüğe bağlı gelişen valsalva retinopatisi

Valsalva retinopatisi sağlıklı bireylerde valsalva manevrasına bağlı gelişen; retina kapillerinderüptüre bağlı ani ve ağrısız görme kaybına yol açabilmektedir. Genelikle tek taraflı olmaklabirlikte bilateral tutulum olabilmektedir ve prognozu iyidir. Bu çalışmada şiddetli öksürüğe bağlıgelişen ve valsalva retinopatisi olarak değerlendirilen bir olgunun klinik bulguları sunulmuştur.

Valsalva retinopathy associated with severe cough

Valsalva retinopathy induced by Valsalva maneuver in healthy individuals, may lead to suddenand painless loss of vision due to rupture in retinal capillaries. Although it is usually unilateral, itmay be bilateral and its prognosis is good. In this study, clinical findings of a case evaluated asvalsalva retinopathy, due to severe cough, were presented.
