Akut subdural hematom (ASDH) kafa travmasının hayatı tehdit eden bir komplikasyonudur. Tedavi edilmediği takdirde yüksek mortalite oranları bildirilmiştir. Çoğu olguda cerrahi girişim gerekmektedir. ASDH'da akut spontan rezolüsyon nadir bildirilmiş bir antite olup patofizyoloji ile ilgili çeşitli mekanizmalar ileri sürülmüştür. Bu yazıda yüksekten düşme nedeni ile acil servise getirilen 16 aylık kız çocuğunda hızlıca gerileyen akut travmatik subdural hematom sunulmaktadır. Hastaya herhangi bir medikasyon uygulanmamasına rağmen 6 saat sonra çekilen beyin tomografisinde hematomun tamamıyla rezorbe olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Akut subdural hematomlarda nörolojik durumu iyi olan hastalarda yakın klinik takip ve seri radyolojik görüntüleme önerilmektedir.

Acute subdural hematoma (ASDH) is a life-threatening complication of the head trauma. It has high mortality rates if untreated. Surgery is needed in most of the cases. Spontaneous resolution is a rare entity in patients with ASDH and various mechanisms have been proposed regarding to the pathophysiology of it. In this report, we presented a 16-month daughter who attended to the emergency room after falling from height in whom acute subdural hematoma rapidly resorbed. Although no medication was not given, it was detected that acute subdural hematoma were completely resorbed on computed tomography images which was taken 6 hours after the first admission. Close clinical follow-up and serial CT imaging may be recommended in in patients with acute subdural hematoma if neurological status is good.
