İyi Oluş Fenomeninin Bilişsel Boyutunun Yapılandırılması:Olumlu Yönelimler Modeli

Caprara ve diğerleri (2009) tarafından iyi oluş fenomenini bilişsel boyutunun yapılandırılması amacıyla Olumlu Yönelimler Modeli geliştirilmiştir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, olumlu yönelimler modelinin Türk üniversite öğrencileri üzerinde geçerliğini belirlemektir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu 188 kız (%58.8) ve 132 erkek (%41.3) toplam 320 üniversite öğrencisinden oluşmaktadır. Çalışma grubunda yer alan üniversite öğrencilerinin yaşları 17 ile 27 arasında değişmekte olup yaş ortalaması 21.13'dür (SS = 1.80). Araştırmada, Yaşam Doyumu Ölçeği, Benlik Saygısı Ölçeği, Yaşam Yönelim Testi ve araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen kişisel bilgi veri toplama araçları olarak kullanılmıştır. Gerçekleştirilen birinci ve ikinci düzey doğrulayıcı faktör analizi sonuçlarına göre, olumlu yönelimler modeli Türk üniversite öğrencileri üzerinde geçerli bir yapı sergilemektedir. Modelin yapı geçerliğini güçlendirmek amacı ile olumlu yönelimler modelinin cinsiyete dayalı ölçüm değişmezliği incelenmiştir. Bulgular modelin cinsiyete dayalı olarak ölçüm değişmezliği koşullarını karşıladığını göstermektedir. Sonuç olarak, olumlu yönelimler modelinin Türkiye'de yapılacak olan çalışmalarda kullanılabilecek geçerli bir model olduğu ifade edilebilir.

Structuring the Cognitive Dimensions of Well-Being Phenomenon: Positive Orientation Model

The Positive Orientation Model was developed by Caprara and collegues (2009) so as to structure the cognitive dimensions of well-being phenomenon. The aim of the present study is to determine the validity of the positive orientation model among Turkish university students. Research group of the study was composed of 320 university students (188 male and 132 female). The age of university students including research group differed between 17 and 27, the mean age was 21.13 (SD = 1.80). In current study, Life Satisfaction Scale, Self-Esteem Scale, Life Orientation Test and personal data form developed by researchers were used as measures. According to the results of initial and second confirmatory factor analysis, the positive orientation model showed a valid structure among Turkish university students. To strengthen the factorial validity of the model, measurement invariance based on gender was examined. Results revealed that the model get the standards of measurement invariance based on gender. Consequently, it can be reported that the positive orientation model is a valid model in future research in Turkey.
