OLUŞUM ROMANI VE ŞANS OLGUSU ÜZERİNE: THOMAS MANN’IN DOLANDIRICI FELIX KRULL’UN İTİRAFLARI

Alman Edebiyatına özgü bir roman türü olan oluşum romanı /Bildungsroman bu çalışmada Thomas Mann’ın ”Dolandırıcı Felix Krull’unitirafları” romanı çerçevesinde ele alınarak incelenmeye çalışılacaktır. ThomasMann, 20. Yüzyıl Alman yazınına damgasını vurmuş Nobel Edebiyat Ödüllü enönemli yazarlardandır. Yazar ‘oluşum romanı’ özellikleri taşıyan “DolandırıcıFelix Krull’un itirafları” romanında Alman yazınının Klasik Dönem ustalarındanJohann Wolfgang von Goethe’yi örnek almaktadır. Önemli bir Alman ‘oluşumromanı’ olan Goethe’nin ‘Wilhelm Meister’in Çıraklık Yılları’ Thomas Mann’ınson romanı “Dolandırıcı Felix Krull’un itiraflarına” esin kaynağı olmuştur.Thomas Mann’ın bu yapıtı ‘oluşum romanı’ çerçevesinde çeşitliörnekler ve alıntılarla çözümlenmeye çalışılırken, aynı zamanda bir dolandırıcınıntoplum içindeki konumuna yön veren şans olgusunun etkileri de irdelenecektir.Ünlü Romanyalı dolandırıcı Manolescu’nun otobiyografisiden yola çıkılarakyazılmış olan roman, bir kurmaca kişi olan Felix’in bakış açısından incelenecektir.

On the Fact of Bildungsroman and the Luck in the “Confessions of the Swindler Felix Krull” by Thomas Mann

The ‘bildungsroman’, a novel typical of German Literature, will be discussed in this study within the framework of the novel The Confessions of the Swindler Felix Krull by Thomas Mann. Thomas Mann, who left his mark on the 20th century German literature, is among the most important writers with the Nobel Literature Price. The author took as the example Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, one of the masters of the classical period of German literature, in TheConfessions of the Swindler Felix Krull bearing the features of bildungsroman. Wilhelm Meister's Apprenticeship by Goethe wich is an important German bildungsroman inspired Thomas Mann’s latest novel The Confessions of the Swindler Felix Krull. This work of Thomas Mann’s will be analyzed with various examples and quotations within the framework of ‘bildungsroman’ and also the effects of the fact of chance directing the position of a swindler inside society will be examined. The Confessions of the Swindler Felix Krull written setting off the famous Romanian swindler Manolescu’s autobiography will be examined in terms of Mann’s fictional hero Felix’s perspective.
