Yoğun bakım ünitesinde yatan hastaların kan kültürlerinden izole edilen Candida albicans suşlarında antifungallere duyarlılık

Yoğun bakım ünitesinde yatan hastaların kan kültürlerinden izole edilen 68 Candida albicans izolatının, amfoterisin B, flukonazol, itrakonazol ve flusitozin duyarlılıkları belirlenmiştir. Tüm izolatlar amfoterisin B, flukonazol ve flusitozine duyarlı bulunmuştur. İki C.albicans izolatının itrakonazole doza bağımlı duyarlı olduğu gözlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak hastanemiz yoğun bakımında yatan hastaların kan kültürlerinden izole edilen C.albicans suşlarında antifungal direnci bulunmamaktadır.

Antifungal susceptibility of Candida albicans isolates recovered from blood cultures of intensive care unit patients

The in vitro activities of amphotericin B, fluconazole, itraconazole and flucytosine were determined against 68 Candida albicans isolates recovered from blood cultures of intensive care unit patients. All isolates were found to be susceptible to am-photericin B, fluconazole and flucytosine. Dose-dependent susceptibility to itraconazole was observed in only two C.albicans isolates. In conclusion, resistance is uncommon in C.albicans strains isolated from blood cultures of intensive care unit patients in our hospital.
