Yumuşak damakta pleomorfik adenom zemininde gelişen “Malign myoepitelyoma”

Malign Myoepitelyomalar tüm tükrük bezi malignitelerinin %1`inden azını oluştururlar. Malign Myoepitelyoma genellikle parotis bezinden kaynaklanır ancak minör tükrük bezlerinin bulunduğu bölgelerde de görülebilir. Pleomorfik adenomdan gelişen ve yumuşak damak kökenli Malign Myoepitelyoma çok nadir görülür. Bu makalede yumuşak damakta pleomorfik adenom zemininde geliþen bir Malign Myoepitelyoma olgusu sunulmuştur.

Malignant myoepithelioma arising from pleomorphic adenoma of the soft palate

Malignant Myoepitheliomas are low-grade malignant salivary gland tumors with an incidence of less than 1% of all salivary gland tumors. The tumor occurrs predominantly in the parotid gland but can also be seen in the where minor salivary glands are present. Very rarely malign myoepitheliomas can arise from pleomorphic adenomas. We present a case report with plasmacytoid malignant myoepithelioma arising from pleomorphic adenoma of the soft palate.
