Status of Reaching LDL Goals In Diabetic Patıents And Frequency Of Statin Treatment Compliance
Aim: Our aim was to evaluate the frequency of patientswith diabetes mellitus which reached the LDL cholesterolgoals and their competence with the statin treatment.Method: LDL cholesterol levels were evaluated and reasons which effect the reaching the LDL goals were asked. Results: 106 diabetic patients were included to the study.Only %28.3 of such patients were at the LDL goal. Mostof these patients were not compatible with their statintreatment and were effected with the statin argumentsin media.Discussion: Statin treatment is important for the cardiovascular treatment. So that patients must be questionedabout their compliance to their treatment.
