Postoperatif ağrıya multidisipliner bakış (Gazi Üniversitesi Hastanesi'nde anket çalışması)

Postoperatif ağrı ve ağrının giderilmesi hem anestezistlerin hem de cerrahi ekiplerin ilgilendiği bir alandır. Hastanemizde postoperatif analjezi gereksinimlerinin ve bu konudaki yaklaşımların boyutunu araştırmak amacıyla; Gazi Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Hastanesi' nde çalışan, rasgele seçilmiş anestezist, cerrah ve klinik hemşirelerinden oluşan bir gruba, postoperatif ağrı ve tedavisi hakkında bir anket formu hazırlanarak uygulandı. Anket formu; 40 kadın ve 35 erkekten oluşan toplam 75 katılımcıya uygulandı. Değerlendirilen sonuçlar rakamsal ve yüzde değerlerle verildi. Katılımcıların yaş ortalaması 36.44 ± 6.61, çalışma süreleri 10.04 ± 5.53 yıl idi. Koroner by-pass operasyonu en ağrılı operasyon (%25) olarak algılanırken, kornea transplantasyonu en ağrısız (%41) seçildi. Postoperatif ağrı tedavisi uygulamaları %53 yeterli, %30 yetersiz, geri kalanlar tarafından ise orta olarak nitelendirildi. Katılımcıların %55'i postoperatif ağrının anestezistler tarafından tedavi edilmesi gerektiği görüşündeydiler. Postoperatif ağrı ve tedavisi multidisipliner ele alınması gereken bir konudur. Çalışmamızdan elde edilen bilgilere dayanarak postoperatif ağrı uygulamaları için takım çalışmasının daha verimli sonuçlar vereceği kanısındayız.

A multidisciplinary approach to postoperative pain (Questionnaire study at the Gazi University Hospital)

Postoperative pain is a problem for many disciplines. We thought that those who deal with postoperative pain on a daily basis might be able to find a way to solve this problem. Accordingly, we prepared a questionnaire regarding postoperative pain and its treatment for a randomized group of anesthesiologists, surgeons and clinical nurses working at Gazi University Hospital. The form was given to a total of 75 participants, 40 of whom were women and 35 men. The results were analyzed in terms of numbers and percentages.The participants had a mean age of 36.44 ± 6.61 and 10.04 ± 5.53 years of experience. While coronary by-pass surgery was accepted as the most painful operation (25%), the least painful was corneal transplan¬tation (41%). Postoperative pain treatment was assessed as sufficient by 53%, insufficient by 30% and moderate by the rest of the participants. Fifty-five percent of the participants decided that "postoperative pain must be treated by an anesthesiologist". According to these results, we decided that a teamwork approach to this multidisciplinary issue would be more effective at our hospital.
