PALYATİF BAKIMDA AĞRI TEDAVİSİ VE SORUNLAR

Yaşam kalitesini mümkün olan en yüksek düzeyde tutabilmeyi amaçlayan palyatif bakım, günümüzde ilerleyici ve ciddi hastalıklarda yalnızca terminal dönemde değil tanı anından itibaren küratif tedavilerle beraber önemli bir yere sahiptir. Etkili bir ağrı tedavisi; bu hastalarda ölüme kadar insan onuruna yaraşır bir yaşam sağlayabilmek için palyatif bakımın en önemli hedeflerinden birini oluşturmaktadır. Bu derlemede; palyatif bakımda ağrı tedavisinin yeri, temel ilkeleri, kullanılan ilaç ve yöntemler ile ağrı tedavisinde yaşanan sorunların paylaşılması amaçlanmıştır.

PAIN MANAGEMENT AND DIFFICULTIES IN PALLIATIVE CARE

Palliative care, which aims to improve the quality of life as much as possible, has an important role today not only in the terminal stage of serious and/or progressive diseases but also at the time of diagnosis together with curative therapeutic procedures. Effective pain management is one of the most important goals of palliative care in order to warrant a life aggreeable with the honour of being human till death. In this review article, the aim was to discuss the role, basic principles, current drugs, methods, and major issues of pain management in palliative care.
