Anesthetic management of a patient with Noonan's syndrome (Case report)

Noonan's Syndrome is a rare clinical condition associated with cardiovascular, skeletal, facial, hematological and central nervous systems abnormalities. Owing to the rarity of the syndrome, few cases of anesthesia use for this syndrome have been described in the literature. The wide variety of abnormalities which may be encountered in Noonan's syndrome present a dilemma for the anesthetist. A 21-year-old girl with Noonan's syndrome underwent vulvar hemangioma excision. In this case study, our aim was to describe the anesthetic management of the patient and the potential multiple problems resulting from the facial, cardiovascular, skeletal and airway abnormalites associated with this condition.
