How the Women Managers are Perceived in Working Life and, the "queen Bee Syndrome"

It is observed that, the numbers of women managers continuously increase in working life since 1970's. By considering the new phenomena so many researches have been conducted especially on the issues that differs the women managers from the men managers into a comparison. So in this article, the author emphasized the findings of a research conducted by Karen McLandress in 1991 about the 123 women managers and secondly, he (the author) aimed to look for whether or not there is a reality for the "Queen Bee Syndrome". According to the article, Queen Bee ,Syndrome is composed of the three characteristics: 1- to employ some males attitudes and use them against also the other women. 2- trying to overcome the competition created by her fellows. 3- indifference to the discriminatory messages. Additionally or in parallel with the features, the article shows us the examples of the Queen Bee Syndrom thought that "some rules of the game must be changed" and today's position of the women should be kept without taking any backward step. Unsuccessful women must seek the reason in themselves, they must react against the discriminatory treats and must spend efforts to remove the discrimination individually.
