Religious Beliefs of Oghuz Tribes

The Turkic tribes that inhabited the Central Asian lands had the same or similar religious beliefs. There is no evidence of the supremacy of religion, although some tribes increased their dominance over other tribes. In the Middle Ages, one of the tribes that rose to the stage of history and created a great power on the Land of Central Asia, which contributed to the formation and prosperity of many tribes, was the Oguz tribe. Many historical facts about the Oguz tribes are analyzed and studied. However, the religious beliefs of the Oguz tribes are poorly studied. For these reasons, we decided to introduce this article into scientific circulation by studying the religious beliefs of the Oguz tribes. The article reveals the cultural and spiritual ties of the Oguz tribes with other Turkic peoples by studying funeral rites, religious beliefs, places of worship, totem images. The cultural continuity of these peoples in stages is determined. In addition, written data related to the prejudices of the Oguz tribe were collected and analyzed. On the peculiarity of places of worship identified in the monuments of the Oguz tribes. The article considers the worship of the cod among the Ogus adherence to sorostrianism, totemism and the first referce to Islam.
