Some biochemical parameters with bovine ephemeral fever in cows

This study was performed to investigate some biochemical parameter levels in cows with ephemeral fever. Study material consist of 20 holstein breed cows totally, 10 healthy, and 10 with bovine ephemeral fever. In the study, serum calcium, inorganic phosphorus, magnesium, total protein, albumin levels and aspartat aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT) activity were determined. In conclusion, serum calcium, inorganic phosphorus, and total protein levels were found as significantly (p<0.01) lower in cows with ephemeral fever.
