Paydaş Teorisi Çerçevesinde Otel İşletmelerinin Seyahat Acentaları ile İlişkileri ve Otel İşletmerinin Performansı Arasındaki İlişkiye Yönelik Bir Araştırma

Paydaş teorisine göre, işletmelerin sahip oldukları paydaşları tanımlaması ve paydaşları ile olan ilişkilerini analiz etmesi gerekmektedir. Bu durum, turizm sektöründe faaliyet gösteren otel işletmeleri için de geçerlidir. Otel işletmeleri de bu çerçevede önemli paydaşlarından biri olan seyahat acentaları ile olan ilişkilerini analiz etmeli ve bu ilişkilerin performansları ile ilişkisini ortaya koymalıdır. Bu amaçla gerçekleştirilen araştırmada, TUROB üyesi otel işletmelerinin seyahat acentaları ile ilişkilerini çeşitli unsurlar açısından (güven, bağlılık, bağımlılık, iletişim, koordinasyon, bilgi paylaşımı, çatışma çözüm teknikleri, vd.) analiz edilerek, ilişkilerin otel işletmelerinin performansı ile ilişkisini ortaya konulmaya çalışılmaktadır. Araştırma, otel işletmelerinin performanslarını arttırmak için seyahat acentaları ile olan ilişkilerinin nasıl daha iyi hale getireceği ile ilgili önemli bulgular sunmaktadır.

A Research About the Relationship Between Hotels' Relationship With Travel Agents and Hotel Performance in the Stakeholder Framework

According to the stakeholder theory, businesses should identify their stakeholders and analyze the relationships with them. This also applies to hotel businesses which operate in the tourism sector. Hotel businesses should carefully analyze the relationships with travel agents and find out how these relations affect the hotel performance. This study was conducted in the 3, 4, and 5 star hotels that are members of TUROB in order to find out relationships between hotels and travel agents based on trust, commitment, dependence, communication, coordination, information exchange, conflict resolution techniques and hotel performance. This study presents some important findings to enhance hotel performance and to develop better relationship with travel agents.
