Ovarian fibromatosis mimicking malignant ovarian tumor: Case report

Overin nadir görülen solid tümörlerinden olan ovarian fibromatozis ile ilgili literatürde sınırlı sayıda yazı vardır. 30 yaşında bayan hastada overin çok nadir görülen tümörlerinden ovarian fibromatozis vakası sunulmuştur. Yapılan ultrasonografik ve klinik değerlendirme sonucu malign over tümörü öntanısı ile opere edilen hastada ovarian fibromatozis saptanmıştır. Vakanın klinik, patolo jik ve ultrasonografik özellikleri tanımlanmıştır.

Malign over tümörünü taklit eden ovarian fibromatozis: Olgu sunumu

Ovarian fibromatosis is one of the rarest solid tumors of the ovary and limited studies have been reported in the literature. We recently experienced a unilateral ovarian fibromatosis, an extremely rare benign ovarian tumor, in a 30-year-old female patient. The lesion was initially diagnosed as malignant ovarian tumor due to the ultrasonographic findings and clinical presentation but further evaluation revealed ovarian fibromatosis. The clinicopathological and ultrasonographic features of this rare entity is described in the present report.
