Oküler yüzey bozukluklarının tedavisinde amniyon membran transplantasyonunun kısa dönem sonuçları
Amaç: Oküler yüzey patolojilerinde amniyon memran transplantasyon (AMT) tedavisinin k ı sa dönem sonuçları n ı de ğ erlendirmek. Materyal ve Metot: Retrospektif çal ı şmaya, oküler yüzey bozuklu ğ u nedeniyle AMT uygulanan 10 hastan ı n (6 erkek, 4 kad ı n) 10 gözü al ı nm ı ş tı r. 6 hastan ı n büllöz keratopatisi, 2 hastan ı n korneal ülseri ve 2 hastan ı n desmatoseli mevcut idi. Ameliyat öncesi ve sonrası dönemde flöresein boyası ile kornea epitelinin boya tutmas ı de ğ erlendirildi. Ayr ı ca ameliyat öncesi ve sonrası dönemde, hastaları n a ğ r ı -batma şikayetleri 0 ile 5 arası nda skorlama- ması sa ğ land ı . Takip süreleri ortalama 3,9 ay±0,3 (2-6 ay) idi. Bulgular: Hastaları n ya ş ortalaması 59,8±2,2 (48-71) idi. Ameliyat sonras ı dönemde hiçbir hastada korneada flöresein boya tutulumu gözlenmedi. Ameliyat öncesi ortalama a ğ r ı -batma skoru 4,5±0,71 (5 ile 3 arası nda), ameliyat sonras ı ise 1,2±1,03 (3 ile 0 aras ı nda) olarak tespit edildi. Sonuçlar: AMT, kornea yüzey bozuklukları na ba ğ l ı semptom kontrolünde ve desmatoseli olan hastalar ı n keratoplastiye haz ı rlanmas ı nda oldukça etkin bulunmu ş tur.
Short term outcomes of amnion membrane transplantation for treatment of ocular surface disorders
Background: To evaluate the short-term results of amnion membrane transplantation (AMT) treatment in ocular surface disorders. Materials and Methods: 10 eyes of 10 patients (6 male, 4 female) that had AMT for treatment of ocular surface disorders were included in this retrospective study. 6 patients had bullous keratopathy, 2 patients had corneal ulceration and 2 patients had desmatocel. Staining of corneal epithelial defect with fluoroscein dye was evaluated pre and postoperatively. Also patients were scored in terms of their pain-discomfort between 0 and 5 pre and postoperatively. Follow-up time was 3.9 months ± 0.3 (2-6 months). Results: Mean age of patients was 59.8±2.2 years (48- 71 years). There was no fluoroscein staining at any patients cornea at postoperatively. Pain-discomfort score was 4.5±0.71 (between 5 and 3) in preoperatively and 1.2±1.03 (between 3 and 0) postoperatively. Conclusions: AMT is quite effective to control symptoms caused by corneal surface disorders and also effective for preparing the patients with desmatocel to keratoplasty.
