Distributioıı of the cellular and the humoral immune system cells in the endometriyum tissue of the rat at various stages of the estrous cycle
This study was performed to investigate the distribution of the cellular and the humoral immune system cells in the endometriyum tissue of the rat at various stages of the estrous cycle. In the study 28 female Wistar Albino rats were used. Uterine tissues from female rats, follovving decapitation, were selected at various stages of the estrous cycle. To stain the plasma cells, some of the uterine tissues were fıxed in the solution of formol alcohol, while the others, for the staining of the enzyme, were placed in the solution of formol - sucrose. After the parafmization process, sections were cut on a microtome and were stained with the metil green - pyronin method. The other sections cut on a cryostatic microtome were stained with the alfa naphtil acetate esterase in order to observe ANAE positive cells. This study has demonstrated that although the number of T-lymphocytes and natural killer cells NKC and macrophages at the stage of estrous were found to be signifıcantly increased, these cells tended to decline towards of the metestrous and these ones were rarely present at the stage of the diestrous. However, these cells were found to be increased a little more the proestrous compared with the stage of diestrous. Plasma cells were present in the large numbers at the stage of proestrous, but the numbers of these cells were observed to tend to decrease towards the stages of estrous, metestrous and diestrous. In conclusion, this study, suggest that the different distribution of cellular and humoral immune cells in the endometrium may vary with the different stages of the estrous cycle
