KANGAL IRKI KÖPEK YAVRULARINDA ANTEBRACHİUM’A AÎT BÜYÜME PLAKLARININ KAPANMA SÜRELERİNİN RADYOLOJİK OLARAK BELİRLENMESİ
Sunulan bu çalışmada, Kangal ırkı köpek yavrularında antebrachium’a ait büyüme plaklarının kapanma sürelerinin radyolojik olarak belirlenmesi planlandı. Bu amaçla, 2. ile 13. aylar arasındaki 3 l’i erkek, 24’ü dişi toplam 55 Kangal yavrusuna ait 125 adet röntgen filmi değerlendirildi. Radyolojik incelemeler sonucunda, proksimal ulnar büyüme plağının ortalama 8.1 ayda; distal ulnar büyüme plağı ile proksimal ve distal radial büyüme plaklarının ort. 11 ayda kapandığı gözlendi. Buna göre; ulııa apofıziııin erken, diğer üç büyüme plağının geç ve eş zamanlı kapandığı gözlemlendi. Bu yargı, özellikle ırka spesifik çalışmaları desteklemektedir. Bu çalışmayla elde edilen verilerin, Kangal ırkı köpek yavrularında büyüme plaklarının kapanma aşamalarının izlenmesinde, bunların erken ya da geç kapanması sonucu ortaya çıkabilecek ortopedik bozuklukların önceden belirlenmesinde yararlı olabileceği ve bundan böyle yapılacak benzeri çalışmalara ışık tutabileceği kanısına varılmıştır
This study has been planned to radiologically determine the closure times of the growth plates in the antebrachium of Kangal puppies. For this purpose, 125 x-ray fılms belonging to a total of 55 Kangal puppies between the ages of 2 to 13 months old, of which 31 were male and 24 were female, were assessed. Atthe end of radiological measurements, it was seen that the proximal ulna growth plate closed in a mean of 8.1 months and that the distal ulna grovvth plate and the proximal and distal growth plates of the radius closed in a mean of 11 months. According to this, it was observed that the closure of the apophysis of the ulna was early and that the closure of the other 3 growth plates was late and happened at the same time. This judgement supports studies especially specifıc to breeds. It has been decided that the data obtained in this study may help in monitoring closure degrees of growth plates in Kangal puppies and in determining at an early stage possible orthopaedic disorders caused by early or late closure of these grovvth plates and so enlighten similar future studies
