Bir sonraki AB genişlemenin Batı Balkan ülkeleri kapsayacağı yönündeki beklentisi söz konusu ülkelere olan ilgiyi artırmaktadır. Bölgedeki her ülkenin kendine has siyasi durumu göze çarpmaktadır. Ancak bunların arasında istikrarsızlığa en yakın olanı Bosna Hersek’tir. Bu ülkeye dışarıdan ve içeriden yapılan saldırılara son veren Dayton Barış Anlaşması’nın getirdiği siyasi ve idari yapısı, Bosna Hersek’in AB’’ye entegrasyonu zorlaştırmaktadır. Bu tür engellerinin ortadan kaldırılması için, şimdiye kadar görülmeyen AB’nin inisiyatifinde gerçekleştirilmelidir.

The expectations about the EU expansion towards West Balkan countries, elevates the interests at the mentioned states. It is already known that, each country in the region has own particular problems. Thestate, which is mostly inclined to political instability, is Bosnia Herzegovina. The Dayton Peace Agreement that ended the domestic and foreign attacks headed for Bosnia brought a new political and administrative structure that toughens Bosnia's integration to EU. In order to eliminate those challenges the way to integration, some reforms are required in Dayton Peace Agreement, which is the constitution of Bosnia Herzegovina. Moreover, the mentioned reforms, to be realized under the initiative of the EU, will undoubtedly contribute to the Common Foreign and Security Policy in addition to increasing the influence of the EU in the region. This study has scrutinized the Bosnian-EU relations within the framework of West Balkan Policy and discussed the solution patterns for eradication of the obstacles in the integration process.
