Öz kontrolün ve duygu düzenleme güçlüğünün gençlerin sorunlu akıllı telefon kullanımı üzerindeki etkisi

Gençler arasında telefon kullanımı oldukça yaygındır. Bu durum bazen sorun yaratabilmektedir. Okullarda öğrencilerin telefon kullanımına yönelik uyması gereken kurallar konusunda da farklı adımlar atılmaktadır. Ancak birey odaklı çözümler bulunması gerekmektedir. Bu çalışma, öz kontrol becerisi, duygu düzenleme güçlüğü ve evde evcil hayvan beslemenin sorunlu akıllı telefon kullanımı ile ilişkisini ortaya koymak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Örneklem, üniversitede öğrenim gören 296 üniversite öğrencisinden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplamak amacıyla “Kişisel Bilgi Formu”, “Kısa Öz-kontrol Ölçeği”, “Duygu Düzenleme Güçlüğü Ölçeği” ve “Akıllı Telefon Bağımlılığı Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın bulgularına göre, öz-kontrol becerisinin yüksek olması ve evcil hayvan sahibi olmak sorunlu akıllı telefon kullanımı miktarını azaltırken, duygu düzenleme güçlüğü ise artırmaktadır. Bulgular ilgili literatür çerçevesinde tartışılmış ve eğitim programları için sorunlu akıllı telefon kullanımını azaltacağı düşünülen çeşitli duygu düzenleme ve öz kontrol egzersizleri önerilmiştir.
