A Conceptual Perspective on Educational Coaching

Education is the process of accelerating learning, acquiring knowledge, value, and virtue. It plays a pivotal role in the lives of individuals and paves the way for the individuals to reach their highest potential. Through education, individuals gain knowledge, skills and ethical values, increasing their awareness of their strengths and deficiencies, and individuals can focus in the right direction. There are periods when individuals need support in their education processes. In these periods, coaching comes to the fore both in the business world and in the field of education. Although there are many types of coaching, educational coaching is discussed in this study. Educational coaching is a process in which a student's maximum potential is revealed by combining his/her talent and capacity. In this process, the educational coach helps the student get to know himself/herself and helps the student's social development and active learning skills. Considering this, this study suggests that educational coaching helps students improve themselves in their educational activities. In this context, coaching and coaching types are discussed in detail in the study, and then information about educational coaching and the benefit of educational coaching is explained.
