Cryopreservation of mammalian embryos

Cryopreservation of mammalian embryos has been an important subject studied by researchers since early 1970's. Cryopreservation of embryos has routinely been applied in human medicine and cattle breeding. Recently, intensive researches related to the vitrification method have especially been carried out. In this review, methods about embryo Cryopreservation (especially vitrification), mechanism of Cryopreservation, cryoprotectants and factors affecting Cryopreservation would be clarified.
