Karanlık Üçlü’den Aydınlık Tarafa Giden Yolda Aydınlık Üçlü Ölçeği: Türkçe’ye Uyarlama Çalışması

“Karanlık kişilik özellikleri” (yani, sosyal olarak önleyici özellikler) hakkında büyüyen bir literatür varken, olumlu özellikler ve yaşamdaki tatmin edici ve büyümeye yönelik sonuçlar üzerine gelişen araştırma literatürüyle entegrasyon eksikliği olmuştur. Alanın daha fazla entegrasyona doğru ilerlemesine yardımcı olmak için, 12 maddelik Aydınlık Üçlü Ölçeği (AÜÖ) ile ölçülen Aydınlık Üçlü’nün Türkçe’ye uyarlaması yapılmaktadır. AÜÖ, üç yönden oluşan başkalarına (“günlük azizler”) karşı sevgi dolu ve faydalı bir yönelimin ilk ölçüsüdür: Kantianizm-Kantçılık (insanlara bir amaç olarak davranmak), Hümanizm-İnsancıllık (her bireyin onuruna ve değerine değer vermek) ve İnsanlığa İnanç (insanların temel iyiliğine inanmak) (Kaufman ve diğerleri, 2019). Aydınlık Üçlü Ölçeğinin Türkçe’ye uyarlama çalışması, insan doğasının faydalı taraflarını keşfetmek için daha ilkeli ve veriye dayalı yaklaşımlar için ileriye dönük olumlu katkı sağlayacaktır. Çalışmayla alan yazına, kişiliğin olumlu yönlerini ortaya koymamıza yardımcı olacak bir ölçek kazandırılacak ve söz konusu kişilik özellikleriyle alakalı değişik ilişkileri inceleme fırsatı sunulacaktır.

Light Triad Scale on the Road from Dark Triad to Light Side: A Study on Adaptation to Turkish

While there has been a growing literature on “dark personality traits” (i.e., socially avoidant traits), there has been a lack of integration with the evolving research literature on positive traits and satisfying and growthoriented outcomes in life. In order to help the field move towards greater integration, we would like to adapt the Light Triad which measured by the 12-item Light Triad Scale (LTS) to Turkish. The LTS is the first measure of a loving and beneficial orientation towards others (“everyday saints”), which consists of three aspects: Kantianism- Kantian (treating people as an end), Humanism-Humanian (valuing the dignity and worth of each individual) and Faith in Humanity (people’s dignity believing in its basic goodness) (Kaufman et al., 2019). The adaptation of the Light Triad Scale into Turkish will contribute positively to more principled and data-based approaches to discover the beneficial aspects of human nature. With the study, a scale that will help us to reveal the positive aspects of personality will be given to the literature and the opportunity to examine different relationships related to these personality traits will be provided.
