Sosyal bilgilerde eğitimsel bir araç olarak posta pullarının kullanımı

Pullar geçmişten günümüze iletişim, propaganda, genel tanıtım ve hobi amacıyla kullanılmışlardır. Eğitimsel amaçlarla kullanımı ise 20. yüzyılın başlarına dayanmaktadır. Ancak bu yaygın bir uygulama değildir. Bunun da temel sebebi pulların eğitimsel bir araç olarak nasıl kullanılacaklarının bilinmemesi gelmektedir. Bu makalede; pulların kısa bir tarihi geçmişi, özelliklerine değinilecek ve sosyal bilgilerde eğitimsel bir araç olarak kullanılmalarına ilişkin örnek uygulamalara yer verilecektir.

Using postage stamps as educational tools in social studies

Stamps, which are used as a tool for communication, are made use of for propaganda, general advertising and hobby purposes throughout history. The usage of stamps for educational purposes dates back to the early 20lh century, but this is not a common application. The main reason is that how to use them as educational tool isn't known well. In this article, a brief historical background of stamps, their features and sample applications related to the use of them as educational tool in social studies are included.
