Differences between expectations and perceptions of individuals cause some conflicts in the organizational environment just like every area. In recent years, one of the most commonly discussed topics within the context of organizational conflict has been the role stress. Even if it is difficult to measure the importance of conflict at the workplace and achieve absolute results in this matter, it is relatively more possible to investigate the effects and consequences of organizational conflict on certain variables. Several indicators can be utilized to measure the role stress. Two of the most mentioned indicators in the literature are role conflict and role ambiguity. This study examined the effect of role ambiguity and role conflict on the job satisfaction and organizational commitment values of employees in private banks in Coastal Aegean Region.
