Lupakki adı, Taşçı Kaya Anıtı ve Korucutepe (Elazığ) mühür baskısı, hiyeroglif olarak, başta olmak üzere, I.?uppiluliuma, II.Mu?atalli, III.?attu?ili ve IV.Tut?aliya dönemlerine ait Hitit çiviyazılı belgelerde sıkça karşılaştığımız bir şahıs adıdır. Bu şahıs adıyla ilgili içerik açısından yeterli bilgi veren Hitit çiviyazılı metinlerde KBo 5.6 öy.II 11 ve ay.III 2 Lupakki "Ordugahın onbaşısı" anlamına gelen UGULA 10 ?A KARA? ünvanını taşımaktadır. EA 170 15 ve KUB 31.121(+)KUB 31.121a+KUB 48.111 öy?.II 8'de geçen Lupakki ile KBo 5.6 öy.II 11; ay.III 2'de geçen Lupakki aynı kişidir. KBo 1.6 ay. 21'de ise adı geçen Lupakki saray görevlilerinin başı (GAL DUMUME?.É.GAL) olarak antlaşmanın tanıkları arasında yer almaktadır. KUB 31.68 ay.39'da geçen Lupakki savaş arabası sürücüsü; KBo 26.181+KUB 27.68+KUB 42.100+Bo 3289+Bo 3758 ay.III 30?, 39?'daki Lupakki ise rahip görevindedir. KBo 9.81 öy. 1-3 (CTH 196) mektup Lupakki tarafından, Kargamı? kralına gönderilmiştir. KBo 18.97 solkenar 1; KBo 18.98 öy. 1 (CTH 190) Kummannili rahip Mu?alanni ile rütbeli bir görevli olan Lupakki arasındaki karşılıklı mektuplaşmaları ihtiva etmektedir. Hitit devletinde Saray görevlilerinin başı, ordugahın onbaşısı, rahip ve savaş arabası sürücüsü gibi farklı görevlerde bulunan Lupakki aynı adı taşıyan farklı kişilerdir. Hitit çiviyazılı belgelerden savaş arabası sürücüsü olan Lupakki'nin I?u?a memleketi kralı Ari?arruma'nın babası olduğu ve daha sonra görevinde yükselerek savaş arabası sürücülerinin başı (GAL LÚ(ME?)KARTAPPU/I) olduğu; ayrıca KUB 31.68 (CTH 297)'de adı geçmeyen I?u?a memleketi kralının Ari?arruma olduğu tarafımızdan tespit edilmiştir

A RESEARCH ON LUPAKKI MENTIONED IN HITTITE TEXTS

The name Lupakki, is a name of a person frequently encountered in the Hittite cuneiform scripts of the I.Šuppiluliuma, II.Muṷatalli, III.Ḫattušili and IV.Tutḫaliya periods particularly on Taşçı Rock Monument and Korucutepe (Elazığ) seal imprint, hieroglyph. On the Hittite cuneiform texts that provide adequate information about this name in terms of content KBo 5.6 öy.II 11 and ay.III 2 Lupakki is entitled as the UGULA 10 ŠA KARAŠ meaning the “army corporal”. Lupakki mentioned in EA 170 15 and KUB 31.121(+)KUB 31.121a+KUB 48.111 öy?.II 8 and Lupakki mentioned in KBo 5.6 öy.II 11; ay.III 2 are the same person. Lupakki mentioned in KBo 1.6 ay. 21, is among the witnesses of the traety as the head of the palace officers (GAL DUMUMEŠ.É.GAL). Lupakki mentioned in KUB 31.68 ay.39 is the chariot driver; Lupakki in KBo 26.181+KUB 27.68+KUB 42.100+Bo 3289+Bo 3758 ay.III 30ʹ, 39ʹ is a priest. The letter in KBo 9.81 öy. 1-3 (CTH 196) was sent by Lupakki to the King of Kargamıš. The KBo 18.97 left side 1; KBo 18.98 öy. 1 (CTH 190) includes the correspondences between the Kummannian priest Muṷalanni and a high-ranking officer Lupakki. The Lupakki in various duties in the Hittite state such as the head of the Palace officers, army corporal, priest and chariot driver is namesake different individuals. Through the Hittite cuneiform documents, we have discovered that the chariot driver Lupakki was the father of Išuṷa country’s king Arišarruma and entitled as the chief of the chariot drivers by being promoted afterwards (GAL LÚ(MEŠ)KARTAPPU/I); and that the king of Išuṷa country not mentioned in KUB 31.68 (CTH 297) was Arišarruma
